Sherman Oaks-005Over the last month, we have been posting about efforts by the Bunny World Foundation (BWF) and the Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) to shut down a squalid rabbit breeding operation in Sherman Oaks, CA.  Now, the BWF is calling for your help, and have prepared a template letter  for you to send to rally for support.  Please remember to sign with your name.

Cat Logsdon, founder and president of Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue, supports this email campaign.  Here is an open letter calling upon the Las Angeles Animal Services (LAAS) to take action on this situation, and give the BWF and CAPS an equal voice in legal proceedings:

As the founder and president of a rabbit rescue organization, I am writing to respectfully DEMAND that the investigation of the “Horrific Breeding Operation of 127 Rabbits in Sherman Oaks, CA,” be put on the LAAS Commission’s agenda immediately.

Further, we rescuers demand a complete and in depth examination of this bungled investigation and cover-up, because it exemplifies the Department’s incompetence and inaction regarding this case, as well as many other cruelty/neglect breeding cases in LA.

We also demand that Bunny World Foundation (BWF), Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) and their attorneys be given equal time to that of LAAS General Manager, Brenda Barnette’s, chosen speakers. It is both unethical and unfair to the animals that HER chosen speakers are heard and that whistleblowers are limited to 2 minute increments and not fully heard.

Thank you for your prompt and ethical response to this matter.

Very Best,

Animal Lover , Cat Logsdon
