Tuxedo was a 12-year-old gentleman rescued from the Carson shelter on June 28, 2014. Thanks to Julie Garcia being his Sanctuary home for Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue.
After his initial vet visit, we determined that he was seriously underweight and has several issues.
- One of his incisors is rotated and needed trimming. His first trimming was trimmed in his initial vet visit.
- Had what appeared to be an abscess; turned out to be a cyst. We drained the cyst, and are hoping it is benign
- Scoliosis of the back and severe arthritis of back and hips
- Right back leg had broken and healed at an odd angle
- Arthritis in his front legs (wrists)
- Mites; hair loss due to mites. Being treated for this.
- Malnutrition
On top of treating what we can during his first vet visit, we started bloodwork to check kidneys, etc.
After spending just over half a year with us at Zooh Corner, we had to say goodbye to this much-loved sanctuary bunny. His time was too short with us, but he stole our hearts and we were grateful we were able to get to know and love him.
