Boycott Whole Foods
Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue urges you to join the boycott of Whole Foods Market until they end their pilot program of selling rabbit meat. The House Rabbit Society (HRS) has organized mass letter campaigns and petitions, but so far Whole Foods has only responded with offhanded remarks about how they are simply following customers’ requests.

Whole Foods, a store that is shopped at by millions of consumers who care about animals and don’t want them harmed, will now be adding, for the first time ever, a widely beloved pet to their meat cases in order to bring in the profits of those shoppers who have requested them. The rabbits raised for meat are exactly the same as the rabbits living in our homes, snoozing on our couches, begging for treats in the kitchen, and trading nose bonks with the family cat.
Further details on their site include sickening detail about how rabbits are bred, raised, and slaughtered on farms such as the Oz Farms, who will be supplying Whole Foods. It is atrocious how Whole Foods and supplier farms are preparing to produce and sell rabbit meat with impunity. A rabbit is a loving, compassionate member of many families, along with cats and dogs.
