WoolyWhoo – Ear Mites, Underweight, and Infections
WoolyWhoo was brought to the Downey shelter, supposedly a stray. She had a bad case of mites, infection in both of her eyes, and was about two pounds underweight (she only weighs 2.5 lbs). We are not sure of her age, thinking 2-3 years.
She is a sweet little thing, a little trooper–and we are doing everything we can to get her back to her healthy and happy state of being!
The mites were deep in her ear canals, as well as on her head, neck, jaw, eyes and creeping down her back. She was treated with Revolution and has been in for a recheck—and is now doing very well, thanks to Zooh Corner! She was also on Metacam (for pain and inflammation) and eye meds and antibiotics for infected skin and ears.
Thanks to Natalie at Rabbit Rescue Inc. for taking the time to go to the Downey shelter and wait. . .and wait. . .and wait. . .to pull her for us!! ♥
