Amorous ‘Enry Rushed to the Vet and Starting to Recover
Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue Sanctuary Rabbit, Amorous ‘enry
Amorous ‘Enry had to be rushed for emergency medical care two days ago. He had molar spikes again, so those were taken care of, but that does not really explain how quiet he is. Blood work shows that he has infection, but we’re not sure where, so we’ve sent out urine for culture (seeing he tends to not completely void all the time due to arthritis). His heart looks OK on X-ray; he still has a murmur.
He was started on enrofloxacin and TMS (antibiotics), fluids for his mild dehydration, and hoping that between infection and teeth that we caught what’s causing him to be so quiet. Of course the concern always, at his age, is that he’s just starting to be ready to go. But we are not ready for that yet.
A day later made a large difference. A day and fabulous veterinary care, that is! Look at our boy!!
Look at those bright eyes.
And he is STILL motoring around the room, checking out the bunnies and the smells.
He is almost completely his old self, and we are so happy.
So incredibly happy!
‘enry says, “Thank you, Dr Kanfer”
If you are as impressed with this transformation as we are, might you consider a donation to help with his emergency vet bill? I will post it Monday, when I get it. (Clinic was pretty busy Saturday. I don’t have the bill yet. But this emergency bill on top of the new little baby, Snow Cone Jones, and we are really hurting for some cash.)
