First of the Incoming Seniors has Arrived

Theodore Rabbit is the first of four senior rabbits returning to Zooh Corner. All were adopted by the same person approximately eight years ago.

Nine year old Theodore Rabbit is severely underweight, has possible heart disease, his hocks are a mess, and he has horrible urine scald. His x-rays show an enlarged heart, but he is dehydrated and malnourished, so the heart may be related to that, and may improve with nutrition and hydration. His hock and knee joints look pretty good, all considered, but the bone in his heels is seriously degraded.

All told, this little guy is in very rough shape, but we will do our very best for him. He is already benefiting from multiple forms of pain control, comfortable, dry living space, and from getting him cleaned up and all the feces and urine matted fur off of his skin. Theodore is a good little trooper. But make no mistake, this is going to be a process. Send ♥️ his way!
