Last November, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) released a disturbing undercover video showing the cruelty behind the angora rabbit fur industry. Soon after, several clothing manufacturers stopped making angora products, including H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, and Lands’ End . Recently, PETA reports that Gap Inc. has agreed never to sell angora wool again, and to pull all items from the company’s websites.
There have been several campaigns by groups like the International Anti-Fur Coalition putting pressure on retail giants like Gap, and it looks like it is paying off.
