Theodore Rabbit – Rescued Feb 14, 2014

1920066_10203182763395114_1550910593_nThis little guy was rescued from the Lancaster shelter. As you can see, he was in rough shape. He had ear mites and multiple wounds on his body, presumably from fighting with other rabbits. The worst injuries were to his testicles and anus. They were going to kill him, as they tend to do with rabbits. He was very frightened when he first got here, but kisses on that adorable head, snuggles and soft talk – helped bring him around. He was on pain meds and antibiotics, and needed to be neutered and have surgery on his anus, to prevent serious infection.

Theodore recovered from his physical wounds nicely, and though he was still shy and tentative, he was a very sweet little guy. The wonderful Laura Payne agreed to adopt Theodore on April 18, 2014. He will be joining other wonderful Zooh Corner rescues like Rainbow! Many happy days, Theodore!
