Update on Boswald Cobblepot

Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue Sanctuary Rabbit

Update: Boswald CobblepotBoswald

Mr Cobblepot! Doesn’t he just have the cutest little face? And isn’t he looking fabulous?! And look at the pictures of his booty. The wound is now about the size of a quarter and getting smaller every day. He’s even starting to grow hair back on his tail, and of course all around the wound on his booty. Take that flystrike/maggots. The magic of compassion, good vet care, antibiotics and pain control.

His poop is still not 100% and I’m beginning to wonder if he might be on the cow pile bunny spectrum. He certainly has the coloring for it, and considering the care he has not had throughout his life, it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s been there and no one ever noticed. Still not entirely sure on that, we’ll need more time in and more time for him to get healthy. We have of course treated him for coccidia, we are treating for GI issues with cholestyramine and Carafate, and I have started transfaunating to see if that helps.

He goes back in for a recheck on Tuesday. Blood work, x-rays, urine culture and possible fecal.improved flystrike

None of this is free. Your donations to our Healthcare fund save lives.💗🐰💗

If you would like to donate towards his health care, please do. We’ve had very few donations on his behalf, thanks in great part to all the breeder-fueled hullabaloo that occurred when I first posted his intake photos. That’s when we generally get the most donations for a new bunny, but it was completely overshadowed by all of the breeder BS – telling us he was in pain, we were unethical, and we should euthanize.

But look at him now. Getting better everyday. And boy oh boy does he love being in the Zooh Corner Bunny Playground!
