Update on ZCRR Sanctuary Rabbit Zeus Da Moose
Zeus is doing pretty well. He’s lost weight, he’s healthier, and best of all – he is happier. He’s eating better and a lot more active. He has a blast in the Zooh Corner Bunny Playground, and he is actually, finally, using his litter box.
This week he had a recheck. He had dental surgery a few months ago and we always like to stay on top of bunnies with chronic health issues. This week, he had his molars and incisors filed.
Unfortunately, his chronic dental issues continue. He will be going in to have at least one molar pulled, as well as his top left incisor, next week. We’re hoping there’s not too much infection in there and that no other molars need to be pulled. Dr. Richards won’t know until she gets in there and has a good look-see. Poor Zeusie. 😥
In other news, we working on bonding him with a newly widowed Sanctuary Rabbit, Baby Jasper. Baby Jasper recently lost his bun-wife, Second Sophie, to cancer, and the little man he was almost bonded to passed away very unexpectedly and suddenly, last week, of acute renal failure. Fingers crossed that this bonding is quick and successful. Baby Jasper is lonely (and has chronic health issues) and Zues Da Moose REALLY wants a friend!
