Zooh Welcoming Meat Rabbits

meat bunniesYOUR HELP IS NEEDED FOR THESE INJURED BABIES!

Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue is taking a group of these babies as soon as we can coordinate transport (we’ll have the space after January 5, 2015).

These baby rabbits were living in HORRIBLE conditions and all are in bad shape, but are safe now, thanks to Janet Foster and Second Chance Bunnies . Some of the injured buns are also at Save-a-Bunny.

Due to the inhumane, filthy, dangerous conditions that these rabbits were kept in, most are injured and sick, requiring medical care. All of them have had their toes and feet chewed by a dog that would go beneath the wire cages. The Craigslist ad (unfortunately, flagged and deleted) read that they were good for snake food or eating, but not show because their feet had been chewed on. Their water bottles (as can be seen in our album) were nothing but green algae. The bunnies had no hay, no solid flooring, no protection from the elements other than a rag stretched across the top. Utterly heartbreaking.

Please consider donating to help us care for them. On top of whatever medical needs due to injuries, each bun will need to be spayed or neutered, when old enough (we hope to have each bunny’s operation sponsored!), and there are many other Sanctuary and Fster Rabbits already here with special needs–and basic needs!
